Born and raised in Indiana, Dr. Young studied at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana where he graduated with honors. Dr. Young then proceeded to earn his M.D. from Rush University Medical School in Chicago.
He then completed a six-year urology residency at Loyola University Medical Center, including two years of general surgical training. Dr. Young serves as the Chairman of Urology at both Resurrection St. Joseph Hospital and Advocate Illinois Masonic Hospital in Chicago.
He also holds patents in several urologic devices and lectures extensively on topics ranging from BPH to erectile dysfunction. He founded Urological Specialists in 1998 and has practiced urology since 1992.
Dr. Yonover is also from Indiana. He obtained a double undergraduate degree in Biology and History from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana where he was an Honors student.
He then went on to earn his M.D. from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. His six-year urology residency was completed at Loyola University Medical Center, which included two years of general surgical training.
Dr. Yonover is the Chief of the Section of Urology at Weiss Memorial Hospital and serves as an Attending physician at Advocate Illinois Masonic Hospital and Resurrection Saint Joseph Hospital.
During his residency, Dr. Yonover conducted basic science research on prostate cancer and Peyronie's disease and has presented his findings at regional, national, and international urology meetings. Having published numerous articles and book chapters on topics ranging from prostate cancer, kidney cancer, transplantation, and erectile dysfunction, Dr. Yonover also lectures to medical and surgical residents throughout the year.
He joined Urological Specialists in July, 2003.
